Ceramics Open Studio

Sunday Night Open Studio time allows students to work independently in the ceramics studio on Sundays, 5:30-9:00pm. You must be familiar with the processes you intend to work in. Open Studio is a time to practice skills in ceramics that you have already learned.

Open Studio is available every Sunday, 5:30-9:00pm. Please register online (use button below) to attend a Sunday session Open Studio. If Open Studio is closed due to a holiday or other closure, registration will not be open online.

Sunday Open Studio attendees must purchase their clay at the EAC for $25 per 25lb bag. Glaze and Firing fee will be charged per pound prior to the final glaze fire. Items must be submitted for glaze fire on Sunday Open Studio to the Studio Technician. You can purchase clay online HERE.

Sunday Open Studio attendees are welcome to attend Open Studio sessions from 5:30-9:00pm; all clay and works-in-progress must be taken home after each session.

Full Access Open Studio time allows you to work independently in the ceramics studio during extended hours. You must be familiar with the processes you intend to work in. Open Studio is a time to practice skills in ceramics that you have already learned. Students must have already taken at least one 6-week ceramics classes at the EAC, the equivalent at a different institution, or have the approval of the Ceramics Studio Technician.

Open Studio is available to Full Access Members during the days and times listed below. Blease call EAC to ensure the studio is open or call before coming on Mon-Fri hours, as there may be times that staff will be out for meetings or home sick.

Sun, 5:30-9:00pm

Full Access Members not only gain access to the studio for extended hours, but also get their own shelf in the clay room to keep their work on. Full Access Members may also keep their clay on their shelves at EAC, whereas non-members must bring their clay and works-in-progress home with them.

Full Access Members can purchase a monthly, $150 membership that will be active 30 days from the time of purchase, or a $400 membership that will be active 90 days from the time of purchase. 

Please note that we cannot offer daytime hours during June, July, and part of August.  Therefore, the last day to purchase a Full Access Monthly Membership will be on May 1st, 2026 and will resume on August 17th, 2026. Sunday Open Studio will still be available during this time.
